Rylie "isms" part 2

Okay, so we've been polling for funny things that Rylie says. Here are some more.

I asked her who taught her something the other day and she said, " I taught myself. Do you know what that means? It means you talk to yourself." Of course, why didn't I think of that.

We went to Yellowstone Park this week (I'll post pictures later). She had to have her "binoclee-ers" to look for the animals. We did see quite a few.

Nichole reminded me that when Rylie's pants used to slide down and her bum was hanging out (oh yeah, it still does because she has no bum to hold them up) anyway, she used to say, "Bum, get back in there."


We grilled hamburgers for dinner one night. Mark made a double cheeseburger. Rylie had a single burger, but opted to call her burger "a lowercase double cheeseburger" since it did not have two burgers.


She is also very diligent about using handsanitizer. She can use it but calls it "sanna hantizer".

Rylie's 10 Things About My Dad

Yesterday, Father's Day, in Rylie's primary class, her teacher asked each child a few questions about their dads. Here are Rylie's responses:

• My dad's favorite color is Blue (totally right)
• My dad's favorite food is cereal.
• The first thing my dad does in the morning is gives Rylie a hug. (very cute)
• My dad's favorite sport is softball. (This due to the fact that she spent the whole Saturday before watching Daddy play softball, I think that Mark likes all sports.)
• My dad's shoes are size big, big, big, big.
• My dad's favorite drink is water.
• What my dad does when he goes to work taxes.
• My dad's favorite thing to do for fun is watch movies.
• My dad's favorite movie/tv show is Monsters Inc.
  
• My dad's favorite song is "I love rock and roll" Rylie can sing this song with her dad.

Soccer to them

Rylie played soccer this spring through the YMCA. She loves soccer. Our friend gave her a goal of her very own for our backyard. She played last fall and was really good at running the whole time but didn't quite get all of the kicking in.

This spring, however, everything clicked. First of all, she was very excited because her team was called the cougars, her jersey was blue also. She and daddy love the cougars of BYU. She has already told us that her school is BYU. I guess we should be saving up for tuition.

Rylie has grown so much that she looked like a giant out there with the rest of the 3 year olds. Her team was very cute. One day, the coach's son got frustrated because he couldn' t kick the ball into the goal, so he just picked up the ball and chucked it into the net. Another game, most of the other team was lying on the ground while Rylie's team was running with the ball to their goal.

There was three kid pile-up as well, but no casualties. I'll have to see if I can post some of the video. Out of bounds didn't really exist in these games. On one occasion, Rylie managed to dribble the ball behind the goal, back around the fans on the other side of the field, and finally back into the middle of the field.

Rylie turned into a scoring machine in the last few games as well. One of the other parents brought a big stuffed husky dog named Snowball to practice and put him behind the goal. The kids now had something to aim for and it worked. It also worked quite well to distract the other team who would spend time trying to ride it, pet it, etc. In one game alone, Rylie scored 8 goals and she only played half of the game! So funny!

Rori is beginning to get more mobile. The other day she turned herself 180 degrees in matter of minutes while just lying on the floor. Watch out world, here she comes! It's amazing how much she has grown, but she loves her sleep still.
