Christmas

We traveled to Utah on Dec. 22nd to visit all of Mark's family. Rylie rode very well on the long car trip. The weather was very cooperative for most of the trip. Mark got to watch BYU play in the Las Vegas Bowl once we arrived at his parents. Rylie was very excited to see "Schoenie", Grandpa Schoenie, her cousin dog Chloe, actual cousin Emmee, Aunt Syd, and Uncle John that first night. She also so baby cousin Otto, Aunt Martha, and Uncle Scott. She saw the rest of the family on Sunday. On Christmas Eve, we went over to Aunt Val's and Uncle Russ' for the annual Christmas Eve extravaganza. It was fun. We all received new pajamas for the special night. See the photos for more hilarity. Rylie spread her magic reindeer dust out on the lawn so Santa knew where to find her. Christmas Eve, Santa's elves worked late into the night. We left cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer and they definitely partook of the goodies. Rylie had to be woken up at around 7 am to come and see if Santa had visited.

Here comes Santa!

We had a ward Christmas party at church and all Rylie could talk about was seeing Santa. She was so excited, but missed his entrance while watching someone playing the guitar. When she saw him she was very ready to talk to him. She had no hesitation asking him for what she wanted.
Very very cute!

Christmas Tree Hunting

Last weekend, we headed out to search for our 2007 Christmas tree. We tried on Friday after work, but had no luck. Rylie played backseat driver on the mountain road, telling her dad to "Be careful", so he wouldn't drive the truck off the road.

We went back out on Saturday morning and looked high and low to find the perfect tree. It took us awhile, but finally we got it loaded into the truck. Rylie had lots of fun hiking around the hills.

Halloween 2007

This year was much warmer for Trick or Treating this year. Rylie decided to be a cowgirl for Halloween. She got pink "cowgirl" boots and a black "cowgirl" hat that Grandpa Jay bought her at the Cracker Barrel. I made her a stick horse and when she saw it she had a fit, saying that is should have wheels. Eventually she was satisfied with the horse and named it Loco. (not sure where she came up with that) We went to a trunk or treat at the park here and to a few neighbors' houses. She had plenty of candy for the next few weeks.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We hope you had a good holiday. We traveled to Miles City on Wednesday to visit Grandma Denise, Grandpa Jay, Great Grandma, Great Grandpa Ruben, and Uncle Charles. We had a yummy dinner and lots of fun. We ventured out the early sales on Friday morning and of course got some great deals. We traveled back to East Helena on Sunday and found all of the snow that fell on Monday was still hanging around.
