Easter in Montana

Well, Easter in March in Montana is not the warmest of days, but this year it was not too terribly cold (aka We didn't have to put Rylie in snowpants). The sun was shining and the wind was not at gale force. Rylie went on a few different Easter Egg hunts (or as Mark referred to most of them as Easter Egg Scrambles, as the eggs are in full view). Rori couldn't have cared less what day it was, she's all about the sleeping. Rylie thinks the Easter Bunny is named Patrick, due to Easter in Miles City where she had her picture taken with the Easter Bunny named Patrick. Perfectly logical. Just the other day she told me that she wanted to be the Easter Bunny when she grew up.

Tagged!!

I guess I've been tagged twice so I better get on the ball!

10 years ago:
I was finishing my teaching degree at MSU-Billings and living in Petro Hall on campus. I was a Resident Assistant to a co-ed floor full of partying freshmen. They definitely tested my patience. I was cheering on my MSU-Billings men's basketball team. Go Yellowjackets!!! I was also making preparations to travel to New Zealand for my student teaching.

5 things on my to do list:

  • Finish my grades for 3rd quarter
  • Sleep (hardly doable with a 7 week old baby)
  • Clean the house
  • Make Easter dinner
  • Finish the laundry (which seems to multiply like rabbits)

5 snacks I enjoy:
  • chocolate
  • cheesesticks
  • wheat thins
  • microwave popcorn
  • mushrooms with ranch

What would I do if I suddenly became a Billionaire$$$:
-Build a new house, set up education funds, eliminate all our debt, travel by private jet, purchase land in Montana mountains...
-I would help in humanitarian projects throughout the world
-Whatever I wanted to!

5 places I've lived:

  • Miles City, Montana
  • Billings, Montana
  • Manurewa, New Zealand
  • West Jordan, Utah
  • East Helena/Helena, Montana

5 jobs I have had:

  • Worked at Hardees and the Ben Franklin lunch counter for a summer
  • Agriculture Research Assistant (this involved sticking my hand in a cow's stomach on more than one occasion)
  • Resident Assistant
  • Middle school and High school science teacher
  • Mom (definitely the most difficult and most rewarding)

3 things you don't know about me:
  • I traveled to 7 foreign countries prior to the age of 22.
  • I was voted Most Likely To Be President ( I guess I better get on it if I'm going to win this election)
  • I didn't know how to drive a stick shift until I was out of high school, even though I had been driving legally since the age of 15.
Well, I hope this has been fun and informative. I am tagging Emily Norman!

Rylie and Rori Roo

You'd never guess that Rylie loves her little sister! She loves to snuggle Rori all the time, really, all the time. Rori loves to sleep. She's starting to smile more often, even when she's awake now.
