Memories!

I decided to try this out. Please play along!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
--Remember parents, friends, grandparents, and siblings read this.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

EVERYBODY PLAY! I want to see what memories are out there!

Early in June, we went to Yellowstone Park to meet a friend of Mark's from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jeremy and Mark went to high school together. They drove up through Teton National Park and up to Yellowstone Park. We me them at Old Faithful and then drove around the park and ended up at Fishing Bridge where they were camping. It was fun. It was a babyland in Yellowstone. We saw lots of animals! If you asked Rylie what we saw, the highlight of the trip would have been Mom seeing a beaver swimming. No one else saw it, but I REALLY did. We even saw a wolf, but it was too quick to snap a photo. We told our friends that they probably wouldn't see any bears. Lo and behold, less than an hour later we saw the following grizzly bears:

We stopped at some hot pots and some members of our group had to use the bathroom. Mark's friend goes into the Men's room and then comes out with a wallet and says, "Have you guys seem this guy?", while showing us a driver's license. We thought he was just being silly and we laughed, but then we realized that he had found a wallet in the bathroom with lots of cash and credit cards. Your typical vacation packed wallet. We looked at the picture again, then we were going to find a ranger to turn the wallet into, when these Asian men come walking toward where we were and they look very intent. I looked at the guy and said I think that's him, so Mark tried to ask the man if he lost his wallet, but I don't think he spoke a lot of English. So, then Mark tries to do a little international communication by pointing to his own back pocket(aka bum) and asking if he lost his wallet. It was very hilarious to see Mark asking a stranger if he lost his bum! The message was delivered and the man got his wallet and all of his money back!

Rylie "isms" part 2

Okay, so we've been polling for funny things that Rylie says. Here are some more.

I asked her who taught her something the other day and she said, " I taught myself. Do you know what that means? It means you talk to yourself." Of course, why didn't I think of that.

We went to Yellowstone Park this week (I'll post pictures later). She had to have her "binoclee-ers" to look for the animals. We did see quite a few.

Nichole reminded me that when Rylie's pants used to slide down and her bum was hanging out (oh yeah, it still does because she has no bum to hold them up) anyway, she used to say, "Bum, get back in there."

We grilled hamburgers for dinner one night. Mark made a double cheeseburger. Rylie had a single burger, but opted to call her burger "a lowercase double cheeseburger" since it did not have two burgers.

She is also very diligent about using handsanitizer. She can use it but calls it "sanna hantizer".

Please feel free to add any Rylie "isms" that you've heard!
